John Deere under fire

CHICAGO — A federal court in Illinois denied John Deere’s attempt to win judgment on an antitrust class action brought by customers who say the manufacturer purposely withholds software tools needed to repair its products from farmers and independent repair shops, monopolizing the tractor repair industry. The class has both constitutional and antitrust standing to sue.
