Jiffy Lube Customers Lose Bid For Class Certification

TALLAHASSEE (CN) - A Florida appeals court has refused to certify a class of Jiffy Lube customers challenging a $1 to $2.50 "environmental fee" added to the price of oil changes. Judge Padovano ruled that plaintiffs' claims were not similar enough for a class action, because Jiffy Lube told consumers about the fee in various ways.
