Jicarilla Apaches Say They Were Cheated

WASHINGTON (CN) - The Jicarilla Apache Nation sued the Department of the Interior in Federal Court, challenging its 2007 decision in Merit Energy Co. v. Minerals Management Service. The case involves more than half a century of royalties on oil and gas leases on the reservation in New Mexico.
