CLAYTON, Mo. (CN) - J.D. Streett & Co. poisoned the air by releasing agrichemicals, ammonia and other poisons from its plant in Cairo, Ill., giving its neighbors respiratory diseases and hurting their property values, a family claims St. Louis County Court.
The Terry family says toxic emissions from the Streett plant injured their lungs, hearts and circulatory systems and cost them the enjoyment of their property.
They demand actual and punitive damages. They are represented by Patrick Hagerty of Gray, Ritter & Graham in St. Louis.
Cairo, Ill. is 150 southeast of St. Louis. The suit was filed in St. Louis County because that is where J.D. Streett is registered.
