A federal district court improperly certified a class comprised of all non-supervisory female employees who work with male inmates at the Cook County Jail or courthouse in a sexual harassment suit, the Seventh Circuit ruled, finding that the proposed class, which includes about 2,000 employees, is overbroad.

CHICAGO — A federal district court improperly certified a class comprised of all non-supervisory female employees who work with male inmates at the Cook County Jail or courthouse in a sexual harassment suit, the Seventh Circuit ruled, finding that the proposed class, which includes about 2,000 employees, is overbroad.
