TACOMA, Wash. — A former maintenance supervisor at the McNeil Island prison claims in Pierce County Court that Washington state fired him for blowing the whistle on corruption, including payments for work that was not done, state workers “engaging in ongoing fraud … by systematically avoiding their work, abusing alcohol and other substances, and being paid for full days of work when in reality they weren’t working or weren’t even at the jobsite."
