Israeli Firm Accused Of Selling Edible Algae Contaminated With Pesticide

ORLANDO (CN) - Algatechnologies, an Israeli company, sold dietary supplements that it knew were contaminated with pesticides, US Neutraceuticals dba Valensa International claims in Federal Court. Valensa claims it bought Haematococcus pluvialis, an algae containing astaxanthin, which supposedly is good for you, but it was contaminated with diphenylamine, which is bad for you. And it claims the defendant did nothing to fix the problem when it was notified. See complaint.
