NEWARK (CN) - Singer Lauryn Hill never filed tax returns for 3 years when she earned a combined $1.8 million, the IRS claims in Federal Court.
The IRS claims Hill made $1.8 million in music and movie royalties in 2005, 2006 and 2007, but never filed tax returns for those years.
Hill, 37, is a former member of the Fugees. She won five Grammys for her 1998 solo album, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill."
