Iraqi Civilians|Sue Pentagon Contractor

EL CAJON, Calif. (CN) - Twenty-nine Iraqis say L3 Communications, a U.S. military contractor, forced them to work "24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for upwards of one year or more, at times continuously, without a break."

The civilian translators say L3 Communications refused to pay them for overtime, "took wages" from them for "alleged misdeeds," refused to let them off the base, own and woke them up in the middle of the night to help with military operations.

"Virtually every minute of every day ... their lives were controlled by defendants," according to the Superior Court complaint.

Also named as a defendant is Titan Translators.

The plaintiffs want overtime pay and damages. They are represented by Dan Zeidman.
