Iranian Man Says Halliburton Cheated Him

HOUSTON (CN) - Because of economic sanctions on Iran, Halliburton Co. worked through anIranian intermediary and then stiffed him for thecommissions onwork that secured South Parsoil field contracts worth at least$30 million,according to a suitin Harris County District Court.

Plaintiff Metghalchi saysHalliburton worked through him because of U.S. economic sanctions on Iran, and that after he got Halliburton the contracts for the South Pars oil field in 2005, Halliburton first stiffed him and then fired him, telling him his services were no longer needed.
