Investors Want Their $1 Million Back

ATLANTA (CN) - Portfolio Equities and Charter Home Funding, both run by Harold Barnes Jr., took $1 million from investors, promised them 12% annual returns, and didn't even bother to keep records of where the money went, 23 investors claim in Fulton County Court.

Here are the defendants: Portfolio Equities, Charter Home Funding, Charter Asset Management Corp., Charter Equities Corp., and Harold P. Barnes Jr. Barnes lives in Sandy Springs, Ga. The corporations operate out of Atlanta.

Plaintiffs are represented by Kirk Keene.
