Investor Says He Was Conned For $200,000

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CN) - An investor claims George Clark dba Southeastern Financial conned him out of $200,000 in unregistered securities by claiming that "Jerry Richardson, owner of the Carolinas Panthers, has over $1 million invested in this program." Richard Carlson claims Clark promised him $436,000 in returns, then disappeared. He thinks Clark is selling unregistered securities in Odessa, Texas.

Carlson says Clark promised, "this investment will pay off three dollars for every dollar invested." He is represented by J. Jerome Miller in Mecklenburg County Court.
