Investment Banker Convicted On 29 Counts

MANHATTAN (CN) - A Credit Suisse investment banker was convicted Monday of 29 federal counts of insider trading that netted him and a cohort $7.8 million. Prosecutors said Hafiz Muhammed Zubair Naseem, 37, of Westchester County, used inside information from the bank and its clients and tipped a friend in Pakistan, Ajaz Rahim, who made the stock deals and split profits with him. Rahim is a fugitive; Naseem will be sentenced on April 7.
