Intoxicated at work

ST. LOUIS — The Eighth Circuit upheld a 240-month sentence applied to a former chief of pathology for the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks who pleaded guilty to mail fraud and involuntary manslaughter. The defendant was frequently intoxicated at work and a review of his work revealed 13 cases in which he may have contributed to veterans’ untimely deaths.
