Internet Drug-Seller|Sent to Slammer

SANTA ANA, Calif. (CN) - A Southern California man was sentenced Monday to 15 months in prison for selling $1.9 million of stolen drugs and hospital supplies over the Internet, including on eBay and Alibaba.com.

Bahram Khandan, 50, of Irvine, got the prescription drugs and other items from his sister, who stole them from hospitals where she worked, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

His sister, Goli Alai-Khandan, has been sentenced to a year in prison.

Bahram Khandan pleaded guilty in February to misbranding a drug with intent to defraud and interstate transportation of stolen property. He was busted at home in March 2011, where agents seized stolen medical products and $141,516 in cash.

He called his businesses United Capital Group Inc., USGI Health and UCGIMedicx.

Also Monday, Alibaba announced that its initial public offering raised a record $25 billion.
