Insurrectionist commissioner

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (CN) — A New Mexico federal judge declined to quiet a state-court lawsuit that seeks to remove Couy Griffin, a county commissioner who was sentenced to jail for participating in the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, from office. The court says he has not demonstrated a constitutional violation.
