REFUGIO, Texas - Sheriff's officers say a man died as he raped an elderly woman.

Citing the Refugio County Sheriff's Office, The Associated Press reported on Monday that Isabel Chavelo Gutierrez, 53, died as he raped a 77-year-old woman at knifepoint.

Gutierrez allegedly rode a bicycle 2 miles to the victim's home, broke in, and as he raped her said he wasn't feeling well, then "rolled over and died."

Gutierrez was a registered sex offender on parole, according to the AP.
