Injunction on citizenship order upheld

BOSTON — The First Circuit upheld a preliminary injunction against President Donald Trump’s executive order denying birthright citizenship to children whose fathers are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents and whose mothers are in the U.S. unlawfully or temporarily. The injunction was issued against agencies, but should have been limited to their officials.
