Indiana Appeals Court

MEDICAL MALPRACTICE - A woman was murdered by her ex-husband after a hospital discharged her into his custody. The Indiana Court of Appeals remanded the claims against a doctor who allegedly failed to report a possible stab wound on the decedent's hand, but ruled that the hospital is not entitled to summary judgment because it has a duty not to release patients to people who might harm them.
