Indian Loans

MANHATTAN - Two Indian tribes in Oklahoma and Michigan cannot enjoin regulation of their sales of short-term, high-interest loans to New Yorkers over the Internet, a federal judge ruled.

The plaintiff tribes are the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians and the The Otoe Missouria Tribe of Indians.
