Immunity Denied To Cop Who Shot Unarmed Man

ST. LOUIS (CN) - Police should not receive qualified immunity for firing at an unarmed man as he fled the scene of a shooting, the 8th Circuit ruled. The court remanded to determine whether the officer acted unreasonably when he shot a man who he admittedly knew was unarmed and did not pose a safety threat.
