Illinois Appellate Courts

CIVIL PROCEDURE - An Illinois appellate court found that John Doe's complaint that he was molested by Father Kenneth Roberts at a Catholic school in Belleville was improperly held as barred by the 1994 childhood sexual abuse statute of limitations. His complaint was timely filed within five years from the date of discovering the 1984 abuse, which was not until December 1998 emergency room visits and follow-up mental-health treatment.
