‘I Need a Jew’ Song Parody Is Fair Use of ‘Wish Upon a Star’

MANHATTAN (CN) - The copyright owner of "When You Wish Upon a Star" lost an infringement claim against Twentieth Century Fox, which broadcast a parody of the song at least 36 times on the "Family Guy." U.S. District Judge Deborah Batts ruled that the cartoon show's version, called "I Need a Jew," from an episode called "When You Wish Upon a Weinstein," constituted fair use.
