NEW ALBANY, IND. (CN) - After a truck driver fell asleep and rolled his truck containing 17 tons of shrimp, cleanup workers found 480 kilos of cocaine and meth in the seafood, Traffic Tech says in a federal claim against the driver and North Vernon Transportation.
Traffic Tech says it brokered the deal to take the shrimp from Harlingen, Texas to Georgia for Rich Products. Rich delivered it to the defendant, and the driver, Guadalupe Garcia, fell asleep and rolled the truck in Nueces County, the complaint states. Now Rich has sued Traffic Tech for the value of the shrimp. Traffic Tech says North Vernon should pay it.
