Horse at large

BALTIMORE — A federal court in Maryland preserved the conversion claim brought by a horse owner against the person who bought a thoroughbred horse in a private sale, though the owner had only given his contractor approval to sell the horse at auction. Because the seller has plausibly alleged that the buyer has physical dominion or control of the horse, the claim survives.
