Reversing an award of $1.5 million in lost earnings to New Orleans Hornets NBA player David West as a result of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the Fifth Circuit <strong><a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/NBA-Contract.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="ruled (opens in a new tab)">ruled</a></strong> that he "earned exactly what he was entitled to receive under his contract."

NEW ORLEANS — Reversing an award of $1.5 million in lost earnings to New Orleans Hornets NBA player David West as a result of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the Fifth Circuit ruled that he “earned exactly what he was entitled to receive under his contract.”
