Homeless Camps

A federal judge in California granted an injunction to block the city of Sausalito from breaking up a homeless encampment in Dunphy Park. The city claims it’s concerned about the health and safety of the campers but campers have “voluntarily taken steps to reduce” Covid-19 exposure and there’s no evidence the virus has spread among them.

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge in California granted an injunction to block the city of Sausalito from breaking up a homeless encampment in Dunphy Park. The city claims it’s concerned about the health and safety of the campers but campers have “voluntarily taken steps to reduce” Covid-19 exposure and there’s no evidence the virus has spread among them.
