Home Mortgages

Countrywide Home Loans and affiliates, including Full Spectrum Lending, defraud customers with false promises of low mortgage rates, according to a class action complaint in Los Angeles Federal Court. See complaint.

A class-action complaint in Norfolk County Court, Dedham, Mass., accuses East West Mortgage Co., Commerce Bank & Trust Co., and Midwest First Financial of "committing compliance errors in ... mortgage servicing ... by providing false information to Midwest and by failing to pay overcharges in interest charged by Midwest to the plaintiffs."

After selling an adjustable rate mortgage whose interest rate they promised would never exceed 14.39%, US Bank NA and Chase Home Finance are foreclosing on a home after charging 16.39% interest, Lawrence Deere claims in Dallas County Court.
