Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and America's Servicing Co. promised to give homeowners lower rates by refinancing, but stuck them with higher, sub-prime rates, a class-action complaint claims in Chicago Federal Court.

A class-action complaint in Chicago Federal Court accuses these banks of discriminating against minorities in home lending: Illinois Mortgage Funding Corp., WMC Mortgage Corp., Chase Home Finance LLC, and Barclays Capital Real Estate Inc. dba HomEq Servicing.
