Ho Hum Bank Robber|Sentenced to 6 Years

SAN DIEGO (CN) - San Diego's nonchalant "Ho Hum Bandit" was sentenced Monday to nearly 6 years in prison for seven counts of bank robbery.

Adam Lynch, 37, of Corte Madera, was sentenced to 70 months in prison for a string of bank robberies that began in February 2010 and ended that June.

Lynch stole a total of $25,094 in the seven bank jobs - an average of $3,585 per robbery, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

That's slightly below average for a bank robbery, according to U.S. crime statistics.

Last year, Lynch was sentenced in Colorado to 64 months in prison for three bank jobs in the Denver area and another bank robbery in Cheyenne, Wyo.

U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez, in Los Angeles, ordered that 56 months of Lynch's sentence be run consecutive to his Colorado sentence, the rest of it to run concurrently. So Lynch will spend 10 years behind bars.

He has been in jail since he was arrested in April 2011.
