Hispanic Cops Sue Houston For Bias

HOUSTON (CN) - The City of Houston and its Police Chief Harold Hurtt overwork, underpay and fail to promote Hispanic police officers, and refuse to hire a sufficient number of Spanish-speaking officers, though the city is 40 percent Hispanic, 23 officers say in a discrimination claim in Federal Court.
