Highway blockade

CHICAGO — Jewish Voice for Peace and other groups that participated in an April 2024 pro-Palestinian protest on Interstate 190 and surrounding roads were able to dismiss a class action filed by motorists who say they missed flights after they were confined to their cars when the highway was blocked. The protesters also asked to recover fees and costs per the Illinois Citizen Participation Act, but the federal court denied these requests.
