Heroin Dealer Gets 20 Years for Death

ST. LOUIS (CN) - A drug dealer who sold heroin to a college student who died of an overdose was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison.

Hagi "Fetti" Scott, 36, pleaded guilty to distribution of heroin with death resulting. He admitted he sold heroin and cocaine to Ryland Ort.

Ort, 22, died on Thanksgiving Day in 2009 from a heroin overdose. Investigators used Ort's cell phone records to find Scott. Ort was a student at the University of Missouri - Columbia at the time of his death.

Scott had been released in November 2009 from a 15-year prison sentence on a drug trafficking charge after serving 7 years, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
