Hemp sellers sue Texas

AUSTIN, Texas — Three Texas companies that sell hemp plants and hemp-derived products are suing the state in an effort to block a bill that would criminalize certain hemp products. Senate Bill 3 has not yet been signed by the governor, but the hemp companies say it threatens farmers, grocers and pharmacists with felony criminal prosecution for selling therapeutic and medical-grade hemp products that contain no mind-altering effects.
