Hell Freezes Over: Florida Sues Businessman

JACKSONVILLE(CN) - The State of Florida, perhaps the most lenient of all 50 states in enforcing workplace regulations, has got up off its proverbial butt and sued a businessman in Duval County Court. The State wants Eric Nelson and his four furniture repair and woodworking businesses, WS Industries, Albacore Woodworking Corp., Ancient Arts Corp., and LaCroix Woodworking Corp. to stop defrauding, extorting, intimidating and deceiving customers.

Nelson is accused of holding clients' furniture hostage for extra money, insulting and harassing clients, doing shoddy work and failing to complete work. To choke more money out of customers, the State says Nelson threatened "to Photoshop their faces on nude models and put them on his adult Web site." See the 40-page complaint.
