Hawa Bah

Hawa Bah spoke to reporters outside the New York City courthouse on Nov. 14, 2017, after a jury awarded her more than $2 million for the shooting of her son five years ago by a New York City police officer. “I know that I can have the victory but I cannot have my son again back," said Bah, flanked by her attorney Randolph McLaughlin and Kadiatou Diallo, a fellow Guinean immigrant whose son Amadou Diallo was fatally shot 41 times by NYPD officers in 1999.
