MANHATTAN – The Second Circuit affirmed via summary order Thursday the convictions of Osama bin Laden’s son-in-law, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, for terrorism-related offenses.
A Kuwaiti cleric, Abu Ghaith is spending life in prison after threatening at his sentencing that his shackling would “unleash the hands of hundreds of Muslim youth.” Thursday’s ruling uses the alternate spelling of the defendant’s name, Ghayth.
