Hatch Act

Christopher Newcomb, a manager in the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in San Diego, sued the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, which claims he cannot hold his job and be elected to a school board. Newcomb says that it's a nonpartisan post, even if political parties endorse candidates for it, and he should be allowed to serve, in San Diego Federal Court.
