The Nashville-defendants jointly operate the MileyWorld.com Web site that allegedly made the false representations.
The named plaintiffs are all girls, or women, who live in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas and Georgia. They claim the defendants failed to disclose that the ticket offers had restrictions, that some concerts were sold out, and deceptively offered “free memberships” but charged $29.95 for them “instantly,” or refused to let them be canceled and charged the money when the “trial period” expired.
Hannah Montana is the fictional alter ego of Miley Cyrus, who is not a party to this action.
Plaintiffs are represented in Davidson County Chancery Court by B.J. Wade with Glassman, Edwards, Wade & Wyatt of Memphis.
