MANHATTAN (CN) - The family of Yaron Ungar, whom Hamas murdered with his wife in Israel in 1996, sued the Bank of Egypt for $11 million. The Ungars have a $116 million judgment against Hamas and say the Bank of Egypt owes the terrorist organization $9 million U.S. and 2 million Euros. The Ungars want that money.
Yaron Ungar, a 24-year old schoolteacher and rabbinical student from New York, was machine-gunned to death, with his pregnant wife, while returning from a wedding on June 9, 2006. Their 10-month-old son Dvir, a plaintiff in this case, survived the attack.
The Ungar family is represented in Federal Court by Robert Tolchin with Jaroslawicz & Jaros.
