HOUSTON — A federal judge in Texas granted a group of students’ request for a temporary restraining order to block the enforcement of Magnolia Independent School District’s policy requiring boys to have short hair. In their complaint, the students claim they have been denied classroom instruction and were suspended for over a month because they don’t conform to the district’s “stereotypical notions of gender.”
