Hail Mary for clemency

BATON ROUGE, La. — A federal court in Louisiana denied a request filed by over 50 death row inmates, who seek an injunction ordering the state pardon board to hold clemency hearings under the term of outgoing Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards. None of them are scheduled for execution and the state has not been able to obtain lethal injection drugs for several years, and there is no right to clemency hearings under a particular administration.
