Group Sues Feds To Protect Grizzly Bear

MISSOULA, MONT. (CN) - The Greater Yellowstone Coalition has challenged the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's decision to "designate a Distinct Population Segment for the Yellowstone grizzly bear population and to remove the Yellowstone grizzly bear population from the list of threatened species under the Endangered Species Act." The Coalition claims the defendant's unjustified and illegal action could contribute to the extinction of the grizzly bear. See complaint.
