Group Asks DOE for Work Environment Against Retaliation

WASHINGTON (CN) - The Department of Energy requests public comment on whether it should institute a "Safety-Conscious Work Environment" in its nuclear facilities that guarantees that employees will not face retaliation for reporting concerns.

The Hanford Challenge, a group that assists whistleblowers at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, has requested that the department establish an environment similar to that used by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
