Gospel Broadcasters Duke It Out In Detroit

DETROIT (CN) - In a trademark case that tests the limits of credulity, World Religious Relief dba The Word Network seeks declaratory judgment against the Gospel Music Channel, which allegedly has threatened litigation, claiming the plaintiffs violate its "gospel music" trademark.

Plaintiffs say that's ridiculous, that they used the term before the Gospel Music Channel did anyway, and that GMC's allegations include the frivolous claim that plaintiffs use the disputed term in "lower case Times New Roman font," which, plaintiffs point out, is "the default font of Microsoft Word." See the federal complaint.
