GoDaddy Accused of ‘Typosquatting’

CHICAGO (CN)- uBid claims that GoDaddy unfairly enriches itself by cybersquatting and "typosquatting:" registering deceptive domains similar or identical to uBid's and diverting Internet searches to parked pages with Google AdWords, for which GoDaddy is paid per click. Parked pages have no content but are used solely to generate ad revenue.

uBid says GoDaddy violates the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act of 1999: 15 USCA § 1125(d). It is represented in Federal Court by Robert Foote with Foote, Meyers & Mielke of Geneva, Ill.
