Go, Team

BOSTON (CN) - While participating in a "team building activity" at a company retreat, a woman says her co-workers dropped her "6 to 7 feet," dislocating and fracturing her ankle in three places. She sued Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club, which hosted the session.

Yvette Rodriguez says the team-building activity was a "spider web" game, in which her colleagues had to pass her through a web of strings without touching them. "Given the nature of the activity, falling is not only foreseeable, but is also an inherent element of the game," she claims in Suffolk County Court.

Rodriguez did not sue her employer, DaimlerChrysler, which sent her to the retreat. She sued the golf club and its corporate parent, Corcoran Jennison Hospitality.

She seeks damages for negligence. She is represented by Elizabeth Mulvey.
