GM Faces Class Action Over ‘Dex-Cool’

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. (CN) - A class-action complaint accuses General Motors of concealing the fact that over a ten-year period its cars were filled with an organic acid called "Dex-Cool" resulting in excess wear and sludge buildup in the intake manifolds, leading to coolant leaks and engine failure.

The plaintiffs in Middlesex County Court sue on behalf of people who bought or leased such cars in Massachusetts.
