‘Glee’ Actor Salling Charged With Child Porn

LOS ANGELES (CN) — “Glee” actor Mark Wayne Salling was indicted Friday on two charges of child pornography, federal prosecutors said.
Salling, 33, of Shadow Hills, played Noah Puckerman on the “Glee” TV show.
He is charged with receiving and possessing child pornography on his computer and a flash memory drive, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
He is accused of receiving still images and videos depicting “young girls,” prosecutors said in a statement.
“The laptop, a hard drive, and a USB flash drive seized from Salling’s residence at the end of 2015 contained thousands of images and videos depicting child pornography, according to investigators, who are continuing to review the material,” the U.S. attorney said in the statement. “Salling was initially arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department and HSI on state charges, and he was released on bond. Once investigators realized the scope of the collection of child pornography, the matter was referred to federal authorities for further action, which resulted in (Friday’s) indictment.
The maximum penalty for each charge is 20 years in prison.
