Gitmo Detainee Says He Was Tortured

NEWARK (CN) - Rafiq Alhami, imprisoned at Guantanamo, says he was "systematically and repeatedly tortured" in CIA and U.S. military prisons since he was since captured in 2001. Alhami says he was held at three CIA "dark sites," sexually abused, pepper-sprayed on his hemorrhoids, starved, hogtied, and otherwise abused. He says he never was a member of any terrorist group and "has never taken up arms against the United States or its allies."

Alhami is represented in Federal Court by Joshua Denbeaux of Westwood, N.J.
